A few days ago, I was browsing through a local newspaper. Suddenly a familiar name appears before me. Namewee (or real name : Wee Meng Chee) is making news again. Before i read on the newspaper, i thought to myself "ISA is going to operate again! The yesterday issue of negarakuku must be settled now, once and for all, by using the ever so familiar ISA." But this time around, to my dismay, its not what i think to be. He is making another brand new MTV, posted on his blog and youtube. Suddenly he has become the centre of criticism of chinese community, not like last time where most of them, especially the young generations, stand behind him.
What's went wrong? Is he wrongly accused or misinterpreted? Out of curiosity, I go to Youtube to have a peek. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3. I sit in front of my laptop, spending about 1o minutes and more watching it. Like usual, full of vulgar words and catchy tune. But is it necessary for him to crammed up his brain coming up with all the vulgar and obscene "creativity" in rehearsing something we are all familiar with it? He said that his intention is to critics unfairness in chinese education. No matter what is his intention, if sound like justice to your ears, I personally feel that he is doing it the WRONG way.
He has put a trademark under his belt, Vulgar King. Maybe last time he has find a right formula and becomes instant hero. But not this time. He is getting it on the wrong foot. Supposedly, if years from now on, his offsprings rehearsing the MTV song while learning their ABC to him or his parents, what will he feels? Please have some respect not only for other people but to yourself too. He is just making excuses to promote himself! Not for the benefit of chinese community.
I log on to his blog again. This time he is hitting back said that those who firing at him is just a hypocrite. I agree that none of is is saint. But so does him. He think he is so rightful by acting true to himself. CHEAP tactics! He is just hiding himself behind all his excuses. What a weakling he is!
Namewee. A name that is surely to be remembered for a long time. But will he be remembered as a hero or a weakling?
